Our Music Program

Grace Episcopal Church welcomes Martha Jones Burford as our new Minister of Music. Martha comes to us most recently from Canterbury Episcopal School in Greensboro where she has served as a teacher and Chapel Organist. Among a number of other parishes served, Martha served at St. John's Historic Parish and the Church of the Holy Comforter in Richmond.

Martha is a graduate of Duke University and post graduate studies at Duke Divinity School, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Church Divinity School of the Pacific. She is a published composer, co-founder and editor of the publication Church Music Forward and a member of the Standing Commission on Liturgy and Church Music for the Episcopal Church. She makes her home in Lexington with her husband, David and a kennel of dachshunds.
